New 2023/24 DSBCD Faculty!

We are excited to be adding two new amazing dance educators to our faculty this season, Seana Williams and Malcolm Messado!

Seana Williams

Seana Williams started dancing recreationally at the age of 3, and was quickly selected for the competitive team at her local dance studio. At the time her father saw that she had a natural ability to dance and decided to move her to a more intense program that had Vagonova based Russian ballet.

In 2014 Seana was accepted into the Juilliard summer intensive program where she worked with world renowned choreographers and teachers. The following year Seana was accepted into the Alvin Ailey American dance theatre 6 week summer intensive. In both these intensives she learned modern contemporary techniques such as Cunningham, Graham, Dunham, Horton, West African dancing and much more.

Shortly after, Seana attended Simon Fraser University. There she studied contemporary dance and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine arts with Honors.

Seana’s goal is to share her knowledge and education in dance. She inspires dancers to think outside the box and broaden their creativity in all that they do in this art.
